We find it to be of the utmost importance to always use acid free mats,acid free backing boards and UV protected glass which will block out over 98 percent of UV, incandescent and florescent light to preserve your memories. 

We also stock "museum glass" which has the same UV filtering but also has non reflective qualities.   
We use the same supplies that the Library of Congress and fine art museums use to conserve their fine art.
